These are my favorites of my own race videos.
Formula Renault 2.0 at the Nürburgring Grand Prix on February 7. 2022 - Full Race (~28 mins), Shortened Version (~15 mins): I won this race! This was my first win ever in a top-split Formula Renault 2.0 race. Starting from second place on the front row, I took the lead in turn 1 and led the entire race. Most of the race is uneventful, but we encountered a bunch of lapped traffic on laps 9 and 10 that made things interesting for awhile.
Formula Renault 2.0 at Barcelona on December 13, 2021 (2022 S1) (~28 mins): I started 3rd and after a hairy start got up to 2nd place by the end of the first lap, and that's where I finished, staying about 1.6-2.1 seconds behind the leader for the entire race. My brother Tim finished 3rd.
Formula Renault 2.0 at Lime Rock (2021 S4) (~26 mins): I was close behind the 2 car and not far ahead of the 4 car throughout this entire race, but none of us ever made a big mistake and we finished in that order, never passing one another at all. We had some close calls with lapped traffic, but survived them.
Formula Renault 2.0 at Long Beach on 2021-08-09 (2021 S3) (~22 mins): This may be my best Formula Renault 2.0 race ever. I started 2nd and finished 3rd, and the driver who finished ahead of me was the top-ranked driver in the race and has consistently been one of the best in the series this season. For the first time in a "top split" race, I set the fast lap of the race, on lap 5, a 1:18.8, from 05:45 to 07:04 in the video (the next best lap was the race winner, who ran a 1:19.0 near the end). I never made a competitive pass in this race -- I was in 4th for a lot of the race until the 3rd place driver spun and got car damage. Only 3 of us finished on the lead lap, and quite a bit of traffic re-enters the race from the pits and I have to work my way by a few cars.
Formula Renault 2.0 at Spa on 2021-07-21 (2021 S3) (~29 mins): This was a fun race in which I made two passes for position, one going into Les Combes at the end of the long front straight, and the other in a battle for position throughout the final lap of the race.
ARCA at Kansas Speedway (2021 S4) (~20 mins): I did very well on this fast track with a lot of banking. I've learned to save tires at these tracks so that I can be part of the battle at the end of the race. I fell back from the leaders a lot through the first 10 laps as I conserved my front tires, but then I began to reel them back in. This is a fun race to watch if you like oval or stock car racing.
ARCA at Charlotte on 2021-08-10 (2021 S3) (~21 mins): This was a fun race and I did well, starting 3rd and finishing 2nd. I led several laps in the middle of the race, until I slowed to safely get by a car that had spun ahead of me, and got passed by several cars after I lost momentum. (It takes a long time to get back up to speed if you slow down just a little on these fast tracks.) A few laps before the end, it looked like I might be able to catch the leader, but after getting pretty close once at the start of lap 32 (about 18:10 in the video), I never made a credible run at the lead again. For the last 4 laps of the race, I ran an inside line all the way around the track to defend against the 3rd place car right behind me -- if that car wanted to pass me, I wanted to force it to go around the outside.
ARCA at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on 2021-07-16 (2021 S3) (~21 mins): I was in a group of about 6 cars toward the back of the field that had some nice racing among ourselves. At the end of lap 16 and start of lap 17, I made the best move of my ARCA career up to now, passing 2 cars on the front straight by getting between them and beating them to turn 1.
ARCA at Chicagoland on 2021-06-21 (2021 S3) (~20 mins): This was a fun race, I was in a close battle (that ended up being a fight for 3rd place) with the number 6 Gatorade car throughout the entire race.
Indy Pro at Detroit (2021 S4) (~31 mins): This was a fantastic race for me, I had fun in this one, starting 6th as the 8th-ranked car and finishing 3rd. Detroit is a challenging, rough (bumpy) street course, where small mistakes usually run you into a concrete wall and damage your car enough that your race is over. In fact, only 5 of the 21 cars in the field for this race completed all 21 laps -- 6 cars ahead of me had incidents that forced them to leave the race and go for repairs, and for most of the second half of the race I was running in 2nd place. I finished 3rd when the car right behind me got a nice run off turn 2 on the final lap and drew even with me down the long straight heading into turn 3. But all in all, this was a great race for me.
Indy Pro at the Nürburgring Nordschleife (2021 S2): I started on the pole and led the field through the first few turns before the two fast drivers behind me went by and ran away from me. I finished 3rd, with an average lap time of 6:49, which is not very good, but at least below the "7 minute barrier".
